Fire Suppression and Prevention Training
Midwest Training Associates offers high quality customized fire suppression and safety training for public and private fire service providers, as well as training for industrial fire brigades and general employees.

Firefighter Fundamentals
The firefighter fundamental series is designed to provide the recognized MIMIMUM amount of training for new firefighters that is needed to participate on the live fire training grounds. Based on the topics outlined in the NFPA 1403 Standard on Live Fire Training, the completed course will document competence in the disciplines necessary for a firefighter to begin live fire training activities.

Industrial Fire Brigade
Designed to comply with NFPA 600, Standard on Industrial Fire Brigades, 2010 Edition, and this course is customized for your location, target hazards, and the size and scope of your response organization. 

Firefighter 1 and 2
This course is designed as an NFPA 1001 compliant offering of the Firefighter 1 course, and/or the Firefighter 2 course. Our instructors are extremely knowledgeable and experienced in the topics that they present. We use nationally recognized training materials, specifically customized to your location. 

Minnesota State Certification Review Classes
We offer a customized review class for those fire departments or individual firefighters that are preparing to take the Minnesota Fire Service Certification Test. Contact us for further information.

Individual Fire Training Lessons
Basic Firefighter topics include individual lessons from the NFPA 1001, Standards for Professional Firefighters Series. These topics can be delivered to new firefighters, or to whole departments for on-going monthly training.

Fire Behavior, Firefighter Safety, Personal Protective Equipment, Respiratory Protection, Ventilation, Ladders, Hose and Nozzles, Forcible Entry, Fire Control, Fire Extinguishers, Search and Rescue

Advanced Firefighter Topics
We offer advance training for fire departments and fire brigades in the areas of:
Confined Space Rescue, Ropes and Knots, Fire Suppression Systems and Extinguishers, Pump Operations, Apparatus Operations and Safety Driving, and Water Supply.

Fire Service Leadership
Our instructors also deliver Fire Service Leadership training which include the following courses: Fire Chief Fundamentals, Initial Response to Structure Fires - Tactics and Strategies, Personnel Accountability Systems, and Incident Communications.
